Video: Kansas coach David Beaty makes recruiting pitch on hoverboard

When it comes to recruiting, college football coaches need to get out of their comfort zone at times to appeal to their prospective athletes. That includes keeping up with the trends in music, fashion and even technology/transportation.

That lead Kansas Jayhawks coach David Beaty to try out hoverboarding, which has died off in recent months, but still manages to pop up from time to time.

Beaty is entering his second season with the Kansas program and is already working on an impressive class.

Currently, the Jayhawks have five three-star recruits and one four-star recruit in their 2017 class.

Thanks to one of the three-star commits, wide receiver Reggie Roberson, we have been able to get a look at just why Beaty appeals to his recruits.

You have to appreciate that effort.

The only thing we have to wonder is: “What tricks will Beaty have up his sleeves next?”
