Video: UNC RB Elijah Hood shows off workout routine

Entering the 2016 college football season, North Carolina Tar Heels running back Elijah Hood is hoping to build off of the success he found a year ago as one of the most promising sophomore talents in the nation.

While Hood prepares for the upcoming season, he has been putting in the hard work in the weight room.

That was evidenced in a video shared on social media that shows the 6-foot, 220-pound running back doing what it takes to be a successful Division I athlete.

Last season, Elijah Hood recorded 1,463 yards and 17 touchdowns.

If Hood can improve on those numbers, head coach Larry Fedora is going to have a very dangerous weapon on the offensive side of the ball as the Tar Heels hope to be a major player in the ACC.

UNC will open its 2016 campaign against the Georgia Bulldogs on Sept. 3.
