WVU DB Daejuan Funderburk dismissed after exposing himself to hotel maid

The West Virginia Mountaineers hoped to have had a better season this year as they only finished the 2015 season at 8-5 with a win in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl over Arizona State. It looks like the team will be without another of their defensive players for the 2016 season after an incident with a hotel maid led to his arrest.

According to WV MetroNews, defensive back Daejuan Funderburk was arrested after he exposed himself to a hotel maid at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa, just one day prior to the team’s bowl game. He has since been dismissed after pleading guilty to multiple charges.

“The hotel employee told Scottsdale police she was attempting to clean Funderburk’s room when he became aggressive, began touching the employee and pulled down his pants down to expose himself, according to Scottsdale police.”]

Funderburk redshirted his freshman year in 2014 and recorded no statistics in 2015 as a backup safety.
