Zack Greenlee transferring from Fresno State to UTEP

Former four-star quarterback Zack Greenlee will leave Fresno State and transfer to UTEP, according to a post on his Twitter.

A former star at Lincoln High School in Stockton, California, Greenlee only played sporadically for the Bulldogs and leaves the program with 1,079 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing just 46.7 percent of his passes. Oddly enough, he was Fresno State’s leading passer last season with 866 yards.

But Greenlee will instead head to a UTEP team that went 5-7 (3-5 Conference USA) in 2015 under coach Sean Kugler and has not won a conference title since 2000, when it was part of the now football-defunct Western Athletic Conference (WAC), nor a bowl game since it beat Ole Miss in the 1967 Sun Bowl.

The good news is that Greenlee is a graduate transfer and will be allowed to suit up for the Miners immediately, so here’s hoping that he can revive his playing career on a new team.
