Pilot hired by Eagles to fly over Cowboys camp dies in crash

A horrible bit of news of to report out of Los Angeles as a pilot that was hired by Philadelphia Eagles fans to fly over the Dallas Cowboys training camp was killed in a plane crash Sunday afternoon. The Cowboys hold their annual camp in California and the pilot was meant to fly a banner of the camp as a prank against the NFC East rival.

NBC Los Angeles reported the news of the plane crash that took place in the business district of Compton around 12:30 Pacific time. The crash was said to have happened during the takeoff just minutes after the pilot picked up the banner to be flown over the practice.

The Eagles fans who hired the pilot were clearly upset over the accident and are planning to donate all the money that was raised for the event to the pilot’s family.
