Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota has had a very good start to his NFL career. All of his accolades so far have earned him Offensive Rookie of the Month honors for the month of September.
In just three games, Mariota has thrown for 837 yards and eight touchdowns against just two interceptions.
According to Titans Online, he is just the fourth Titan/Oiler to win Rookie of the Month – either offensive or defensive – , joining Eddie George (September 1996), Jevon Kearse (September, November, and December 1999), and Chris Johnson (September 2008).
The Titans are currently 1-2. Luckily for them, the rest of the AFC South is struggling and they are all sitting at the same record. If the Titans want to compete for a spot in the playoffs, he will need to continue his electric play for the remainder of the season.
