Ronald Darby named NFL Rookie of the Month

Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Ronald Darby has been named the NFL’s Rookie of the Month for September, per Bills beat reporter Joe Buscaglia.

The team’s second-round pick out of Florida State, Darby has been lights-out amazing this season. He has 15 tackles and two interceptions. Playing in coach Rex Ryan’s system, he is a big reason Buffalo is 2-1 on the season. In three seasons at Florida State, he had 78 tackles, two interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles.

Needless to say, the season is still young and Darby is far from finished. At this rate, it’s impossible to not have him in the Defensive Rookie of the Year conversation.

Buffalo takes on Eli Manning and the New York Giants at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
