Jim McElwain has message for young fan fighting cancer

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Cancer absolutely sucks. My life has been affected from friends and family having and losing a battle to cancer and there are plenty of others who have gone through that as well.

One thing the people battling this disease know is that it is truly a battle. They have to fight every single day to try to beat cancer and it’s always nice to have someone encouraging you through the fight.

According to SEC Country, a young Florida fan by the name of Jay Ryon is fighting cancer. He had a special message for the Gators prior their matchup with the Ole Miss Rebels.

Head coach Jim McElwain responded to the young fan and said that they are going to fight to try and win the game today.

Keep fighting with everything you've got, buddy… We will keep fighting with everything we've got to win for you! https://t.co/xw6TFW1z9D

That has got to be reassuring for both Ryon and the Gators. They both know that they have someone rooting for each other.
