TCU scores plenty and early to open scoring vs. Texas

Texas Christian got the ball rolling early today against their Big 12 rival Texas Longhorns today when not long after recovering a Longhorns fumble, star quarterback Trevone Boykin found receiver KaVontae Turpin for a 13-yard touchdown.

TCU would tack on two more points on the ensuing Texas drive, when more special teams woes resulted in a missed punt going out the back of the end zone for a safety. Boykin would then find one of his favorite targets in receiver Josh Doctson for a 15-yard score, upping the score to 16-0 and thus tying himself with Andy Dalton’s school record for touchdown passes.

Needless to say, the Horned Frogs are close to running the table today as they look to continue on the path to the College Football Playoff.
