UNC to induct Stuart Scott into its hall of fame

Just a little over nine months ago, the sporting world lost a legend in the journalism world ESPN SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott passed away after a long battle with cancer. He has since been honored multiple times with a plague at the ESPN headquarters among other things.

Scott will be honored once again in the coming months. He was a student at North Carolina and was a huge fan of theirs during his days with ESPN.

According to Complex, UNC will honor Scott by inducting him into the North Carolina Journalism Hall of Fame. UNC’s play-by-play commentator Jones Angell will host the event honoring Scott.

Scott will also be honored at the “Late Night with Roy” event. He hosted that event ten times during his career as well.

What a great way to honor this former journalism legend.

Rest in peace, Stuart.
