Ohio State remains number 1 in Coaches Poll

The defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes have received plenty of criticism over the last few weeks as they have struggled in their last few games. Some people have called for the Buckeyes to be knocked out of the top spot in the polls.

The latest Coaches Poll shows that the coaches don’t think the Buckeyes should be bumped down just yet. The poll was released Sunday morning and Ohio State stayed atop the rankings, but that was about the only thing that didn’t change.

The Georgia Bulldogs had the biggest drop as they fell ten spots to number 16. Their rival Florida Gators had the biggest jump as they leapfrogged eleven spots to number 12.

Michigan, Memphis, and Iowa all made appearances in the poll for the first time this season, while Boise State returned to the polls. Wisconsin, West Virginia, Oregon, and Mississippi State all fell from the rankings.
