Leonard Fournette and Nick Chubb are easily the best running backs in the country. Fans and experts have been going back and forth all season about who is the best out of the two and the jury is still very much out on that debate.
Chubb was going for history last Saturday against the Alabama Crimson Tide as he entered the game having just tied all-time Georgia great Herschel Walker for the most consecutive games with at least 100 yards on the ground. Late in the third quarter, Chubb broke off an 83-yard run that gave him sole possession of the record.
According to College Spun, Fournette gave Chubb a shout out on Twitter congratulating him on the phenomenal feat. Fournette also congratulated Chubb in a postgame press conference captured by The Advocate.
Fournette has already been breaking records of his own this season. The Tigers and Bulldogs could be on a collision course for the SEC Championship game in December, so there’s a chance fans could get the matchup they have been wanting since the season began.
