Suspended Baylor safety J.W. Ketchum has tweeted that he is no longer attending the university, thus putting to rest any idea of him returning to the Bears next season.
The four-star freshman from Houston was removed from the roster last month for what was called a violation of team rules. He further took to Twitter to put the program and/or university on blast for alleged dishonesty.
Baylor has gone undefeated this year without Ketchum, but there’s no denying that the program has indeed lost a top player. Ketchum came out of Lamar High School as an “athlete,” a testament to his overall versatility. Regardless of where he ends up next, the team that lands him will be blessed with an immediate impact player.
Campus Sports will update Ketchum’s story as more information becomes available.
Baylor next faces the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. ET.
