Wow. To quote Marty McFly, things just got heavy. Though this could be a fairly one-sided game, it’s still the Red River Shootout, an annual event that both Longhorns and Sooners fans have looked forward to for over a century. Thus, for Bevo to miss the game, one where all he really needs to do is chill on the sidelines and do Longhorn stuff, his condition must be very serious.
Campus Sports sends its best to the Longhorns community and hopes that Bevo XIV recovers soon! The legendary steer is a program institution and for him to miss an extended period of time would be a crying shame.
Kickoff between Texas and Oklahoma is slated for 12 p.m. ET in Austin on Saturday, with the broadcast featured on ABC.
