Could a linemen be Kansas State’s next QB?

The Kansas State Wildcats have gone through a lot of quarterbacks this season. They are currently on their fourth-string quarterback with Joe Hubener as the starter and the Wildcats are hoping to find a backup soon.

Their fifth-string quarterback, Kody Cook, took a nasty shot in their loss to Oklahoma State last weekend. Hubener was also hurt, but he has passed concussion protocol and he will be able to play this weekend.

According to ESPN, head coach Bill Snyder is pulling out all the stops to find someone to play the position if need be.

Bill Snyder jokes Will Geary is currently practicing as the 7th string QB.

The thing about Will Geary is that he is a six-foot, 297-pound defensive lineman. I mean, if Hubener and sixth-string guy Zach Davidson can’t go this week, then why not give the big guy a try?

He’s pretty athletic as it is, so it probably couldn’t hurt.
