Tragedy struck in the life of Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel early Wednesday morning after it was reported his family’s lake house was destroyed by a fire. The fire department in Whitehouse, Texas was called to the Lake Tyler home at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
WFAA in Dallas reported the news Wednesday morning.
It was reported that no one was at the house at the time of the fire and the home was already fully involved in the fire by the time emergency personnel arrived.
The house is reportedly owned by Paul Manziel, Johnny’s father. It was reported by Jay Brooks, Smith County Fire Marshal, that the nature of the fire was suspicious and that it was being investigated and arson canines would be brought in.
