As if the Purdue Boilermakers didn’t already have enough problems to deal with this season, two of their freshman defensive players were arrested this past weekend. This is certainly becoming a problem for this team as it is the second pair of players to be arrested in the span of a month.
According to College Football Talk, linebacker Wyatt Cook and defensive end Chazmyn Turner were arrested on two separate charges. Cook was arrested for minor consumption of alcohol, while Turner was popped for marijuana possession.
No details were released on the arrests, but they are likely to come over the next few weeks. Cook was three-star member of the 2015 class, while Turner was a two-star member.
Neither player has seen the field this season, so it’s likely their punishments will come on the practice field. Two freshmen defensive backs, Evyn Cooper and David Rose, were arrested and charged in connection to a bicycle theft in late September.
Let’s hope the Boilermakers can turn things around before things get worse.
