UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey appeared on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” to discuss a variety of topics including her upcoming title defense against Holly Holm at UFC 193 next month.
Rousey, as usual, was very open in discussing her undefeated challenger and showed her undeniable confidence that a victory is in store.
When discussing Holm, a former boxing champion, Rousey said, “She’s a nice chick that’s going to lose.”
Rousey then went on to praise her opponent, citing Holm’s boxing credentials and saying that the bout would be much longer than any of her previous bouts.
“This one’s going to be a much longer fight because she’s a 19-time world boxing champion with 100 percent takedown defense and head-kick knockouts,” Rousey said. “She’s undefeated and an amazing athlete, and definitely the biggest threat to me, especially on paper and stylistically.
“She’s the type of fighter you have to be very, very patient with. I feel like she’s going to try to like keep distance and keep far away from me and get me frustrated until the point I make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head, but it’s not going to go like that – not the way she wants.”
You can see more from Rousey’s appearance below.
Rousey and Holm will go toe-to-toe on Nov. 15 at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
In the co-main event, women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her title against Valerie Letourneau.
UFC 193 promises to be a great and historic event, with the main card action going down on pay-per-view. If Rousey’s previous fights are any indication, you won’t want to miss this one.
