Tennessee Volunteeers head coach Butch Jones could find himself in some hot water. There have been rumors swirling that Jones struck a player at practice over the summer which is a claim he has since denied.
However, those allegations are now receiving more attention thanks to an ex-player.
Former Cincinnati punter John Lloyd took to social media to claim he has seen Jones hit players “multiple times” during practices when he was with the Bearcats. It’s a damning claim, but still lacks the hard evidence which could land Jones in trouble.
After posting the messages on Twitter, Lloyd quickly hit the delete button.
However, his allegations have been screenshotted and since re-shared.
It is going to be very interesting to see what happens to Jones and whether he will be able to avoid having even more ex-players come out to support these claims.
It is certainly something worth keeping an eye on.
