Ole Miss CB Tee Shepard quits football team

The Ole Miss Rebels are currently preparing for this weekend’s meeting with the New Mexico State where they will hope to rebound from last week’s loss to the Florida Gators.

However, they had to take a quick break from preparation to announce the departure of cornerback Tee Shepard.

With rumors swirling that he could be leaving the team, Shepard and Ole Miss released statements announcing his decision to quit the football team. However, Shepard will remain at Ole Miss in pursuit of his degree.

Shepard, who was able to become a FBS player despite a hearing impairment, cited his loss of passion for the game as a reason for walking away.

While it is unfortunate to see Shepard walking away from football, it is great to see he will continue pursuing his education.

We wish him the best on his next endeavor in life.
