South Carolina students getting $5 tickets for LSU game

The story in Baton Rouge keeps getting more and more awesome as the week rolls on. After it was announced on Wednesday that the LSU/South Carolina game would be moved from Columbia, the Tigers have been doing all they can to help out the university in Columbia.

From the LSU band learning the Gamecocks’ fight song to the school donating all ticket sale proceeds back to South Carolina, there have been some pretty cool developments to go down. This one may be one of the coolest the Tigers have done so far.

According to the ticket info released by LSU’s official website, South Carolina students will be able to buy tickets to the game at the gate for $5. This discounted price will be good for students with a valid CarolinaCard, a student ID card used for purchases on campus.

South Carolina students may purchase a $5 game ticket at Tiger Stadium (Gate 31) on gameday. Students must show valid Carolina Card and pay in cash.

I don’t know how many South Carolina students are able to attend the game this weekend, but this is certainly a good way to convince them to come support the Gamecocks.
