Urban Meyer talked to Cardale Jones about criticism

Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones has certainly been receiving a ton of flak for some of his struggles on the field this year. Despite the struggles, the Buckeyes are 5-0 and Jones is 8-0 as the starter for his team.

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer knows this and he wants to keep his quarterback’s head in the game.

Meyer had a talk with Jones about the criticism he has been receiving and his advice was pretty simple.

Urban Meyer says he's talked to team about fan criticism & keeping solid team foundation. Tells Cardale that's "life in the big city." 1/2

Adding on Cardale, "move on & get better." @TheFeverABC6

It’s not too hard to get caught up in the distractions and comments coming from fans, especially for a guy Jones’s position. Meyer’s advice was the best he could have given his quarterback and Jones must take it to heart.

Jones will be leading the Buckeyes this week as the starting quarterback against the Maryland Terrapins. That game is set to kickoff at 12 p.m. and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
