NCAA will allow Leonard Fournette to auction off jersey

The LSU Tigers pulled some pretty classy moves for the South Carolina Gamecocks this week. Following their 45-24 win, one of the Tigers did one more classy move to cap off a big week.

After the game, LSU running back Leonard Fournette said that he would be auctioning his jersey off and donating the money to the hurricane relief fund in South Carolina. Many fans immediately began talking about how he would never be allowed to do that.

According to The Advocate, the NCAA pulled a surprising move by announcing Fournette would be allowed to auction the jersey off for charity. While LSU announced that Fournette wouldn’t be allowed to do that, the NCAA tweeted that they had no problem with him doing so.

Whether Fournette will actually auction the jersey off remains to be seen. If he is able to, I’m sure the jersey will go for a pretty penny. I’m sure everyone involved is hoping he can pull off this amazingly considerate act.
