Texas coach fired by OU enjoys victory cigar

As the long feud between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mr. McMahon showed millions of fans, nothing feels better than telling your boss to stick it where the sun don’t shine. Or, in the case of Texas Longhorns assistant Jay Norvell, a former boss.

Norvell joined Texas this year after being fired as the Sooners’ offensive coordinator in 2014, and he was feeling so good after the Longhorns beat up on OU in yesterday’s Red River Rivalry that he enjoyed a victory cigar. Of course, a picture of said celebration was posted on Twitter.

Given how Texas sacked Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield six times and won 24-17, literally stampeding over Oklahoma’s defense, Norvell deserves this and then some. With a victory and some closure, he’s probably feeling pretty good right now.

Texas looks to improve to 3-4 following next week’s bye, taking on Kansas State in Manhattan.
