FSU, Miami fans brawl at Saturday tailgate

In college football, rivalries can get a bit intense, especially if both teams play in the same state. Just ask this group of Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes fans. Their two respective teams played each other in Tallahassee over the weekend, so tailgating was obviously off the charts.

One group of ‘Noles and ‘Canes fans, however, let the rivalry get a little too intense for them.

Video of the incident was captured on Twitter.

Look, I get it. Rivalries are part of the game, and some fans can be a bit obnoxious about it. But escalating to physical violence? That’s never okay.

The point of tailgating is to have some drinks, eat food that doctors would yell at us for putting in our bodies, and get a nice buzz going before the game starts. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just what started this brawl is unknown, but it still escalated to an unnecessary level.

Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.
