LSU lands 2016 four-star LB Michael Divinity

The LSU Tigers have one of the best recruiting classes for the 2016 season. The team is currently ranked second by 247Sports, only behind the Ohio State Buckeyes.

After latest commitment, the Tigers may soon see themselves start to move up the ladder once again. According to Bleacher Report, four-star linebacker from Baton Rouge, Michael Divinity, committed to the Tigers early Monday morning via Twitter.

Divinity will certainly be able to come in and be a big part of the LSU defense that is always one of the elite in all of college football. He talked about getting an offer from LSU last year.

“That’s my hometown and getting an offer from LSU is big,” Divinity told Sonny Shipp of 247Sports in 2014. “I didn’t think they would offer me, and I didn’t think there was any chance it would come so soon.”

The four-star linebacker also held offers from Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Florida State, and UCLA among others. He is currently ranked as the fourth outside linebacker in the nation and the fifth overall player in the state of Louisiana.
