Steve Sarkisian emotional, crying before being escorted out

|

The gory details just keep coming regarding USC Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian’s leave of absence from the program. Per a report from TMZ, Sarkisian was apparently “sobbing in a corner” and “very emotional” before being removed from the school’s football facility yesterday.

Staffers got AD Pat Haden involved and Haden then spoke with Sarkisian on the phone, said he was “not healthy” and ordered him to go on leave. Sarkisian is expected to enter treatment, per other reports.

You can’t really get more rock bottom than that, save for maybe Sarkisian allegedly being drunk during the Trojans’ recent game against Arizona State. Sarkisian is clearly going through some major personal problems, be they related to his divorce from his wife of nearly 20 years, Stephanie, or other issues.

Either way, one thing is clear. Before he can even think about continuing his coaching career at USC or someplace else, Sarkisian needs to get help for his problem so that he can be a better man going forward.
