A former three-star recruit from Macon Georgia, Samuel posted no official statistics in the five games he played.

It’s a rough end to a once-promising career, as he has great size for either position at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, but long term health takes priority in this case. Just what it means for his future at the university remains to be seen, but Campus Sports will update that part of the story accordingly if any new information is released.

UNC next looks to improve to 5-1 when they host Wake Forest on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN3.
