BYU quarterback Taysom Hill has had a string of bad luck the last two seasons. In 2014, he was looking like one of the top NFL prospects before he suffered a season-ending leg injury.
He was looking to bounce back this season, but he suffered another season-ending injury in the opening game and now his NFL future is in a bit of jeopardy. Hill will likely get another season of eligibility from the NCAA for the 2016 season, but according to the Salt Lake Tribune, he will wait to decide if he will use it.
Hill and head coach Bronco Mendenhall discussed his NFL future and they both agreed that it will be best to wait until after the Cougars’ probable bowl game to decide his future.
Mendenhall said the two have decided to wait until after the bowl game, “and then I will advise him at that point. I am not going to try to persuade him. I am just going to be a sounding board and try to help him make a great decision.”
No matter what happens, fans can only root for Hill to have a successful future. This kid truly deserves it.
