Video: UGA player gets head stepped on by UT player

The Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers have a pretty heated rivalry. Granted, it doesn’t compare to the one between the Bulldogs and Florida Gators or Volunteers and Alabama Crimson Tide, but it’s a pretty big one.

Every year, these two teams go to war and every year the game seems to have big division championship implications riding on it. The game this past weekend was no different and things seemed to get pretty chippy on a first quarter kickoff.

College Spun shared a video that appears to show Tennessee running back John Kelly stepping on the head of Georgia linebacker Chuks Armaechi. It looks to be retaliation to the linebacker grabbing on to Kelly’s pants.

You never want to assume that it was intentional, but it certainly looked like it once the video zooms in. However, I will defend Kelly by saying it does look like Armaechi has a handful of the running back’s genitalia while laying on the ground.

Either way, if Kelly is punished, Bulldog fans will certainly feel a sense of justice and Kelly will be upset knowing that he should have had better judgement in his decision.
