Could Jacoby Brissett be a potential first round draft pick?

Since leaving Florida, North Carolina State quarterback Jacoby Brissett has done very well for himself. In his senior season, he has thrown for 1,105 yards and eight touchdowns and just one interception. This is improving on his impressive redshirt junior season when he threw for 2,606 yards and 23 touchdowns against just five interceptions.

Those are some pretty good numbers and he is getting the attention that he deserves for them.

According to Walter Football’s Scuttle Butt report, there are rumors that some scouts have been putting Brissett pretty high up on their draft stock. Some have even jumped him ahead of some big names like Christian Hackenberg and Connor Cook.

In fact, there are apparently multiple scouts who are currently grading Brissett as a first-round pick.

“This is just hearsay, but I’ve heard that some scouts are grading him in the first. We’ll see if our guy grades him that high, and I’ll watch him later on,” the report read.

Brissett has all the pieces to be a great quarterback in the NFL and he is showing off his skills so far this season.

Could Brissett be the dark horse player in the 2016 NFL Draft?
