LSU freshman Antonio Blakeney loses tooth in practice

5-star freshman shooting guard Antonio Blakeney is expected to be an immediate impact player for the LSU Tigers in the 2015-16 season, and his pesky nature should be an ideal fit in head coach Johnny Jones’ physical system.

That is, Blakeney should be just that once he takes a precautionary trip to the dentist. Per a tweet from Jacques Doucet of WAFB Baton Rouge, Blakeney lost a tooth in practice today.

Just how Blakeney’s tooth came out is a mystery, but the fact that he just tossed it aside is a good sign. Chances are he’ll see a dentist just to be fitted for an implant, if that visit happens at all, and then he’ll get back on the court.

LSU opens the season at home against the Southland’s McNeese State Cowboys on November 13.
