Stanford, K-State agree to home-and-home series

Since Stanford started their 2015 season off on the wrong foot losing to then un-ranked Northwestern, the Cardinal have agreed to play another purple-laden team in their near future.

Stanford and Kansas State both announced Wednesday that they have agreed on a home-and-home series that begins next season when the Wildcats travel to Palo Alto Sept. 2, a Friday night, to kickoff the 2016 season. The next meeting of that series is scheduled for Sept. 4 , 2021 where the Wildcats will get to play host to the Cardinal. The 2016 match up will be the first game between the two schools.

The Cardinal will be yet another Power 5 school the Wildcats add to their non-conference resumé.  Along with past home-and-home series against Auburn(2007,2014), UCLA(2009,2010),  and Miami, Fl(2011,2012) the Wildcats are also scheduled to play Vanderbilt in 2017, 2020 and Mississippi State in 2018-2019.

Stanford adds another Big-12 school to their future schedule as well; the Cardinal agreed to a home-and-home with TCU for the 2024 and 2027 seasons earlier this year.
