Steve Spurrier appearing on College GameDay this week

It was just two days ago that Steve Spurrier announced his resignation from South Carolina. While a lot of fans speculate that Spurrier’s career is indeed over, it is not clear if he is completely done with the sporting world.

According to Lost Lettermen, Spurrier will be making an appearance on College Gameday this week when it hails from Ann Arbor for the Michigan/Michigan State game. Spurrier claimed that he had never been there before and that he wants to see what all the fuss is about.

Steve Spurrier tells @dpshow that he will be on GameDay from The Big House in Ann Arbor on Saturday. "I've never been there."

Of course, this sparked all kinds of fans to express their excitement for Spurrier being on the show. Some even believe that Spurrier could have already found a new gig to replace his head coaching one.

Spurrier is going to be on Gameday? Tell me he's replacing Desmond Howard. Please.

Spurrier on GameDay this weekend. Will be the first time I’ve watched in years. http://t.co/deMSWlCdwu

Spurrier replacing Corso would be like when the new pope was 78 but a hell of a couple years it would be: http://t.co/iVBiVMZ0JP

I can only imagine if Spurrier is actually replacing Lee Corso. I mean, it doesn’t make a ton of sense being that they are around the same age, but can you imagine if Spurrier traded in the visor for a mascot’s headgear?
