Baylor basketball will be down one very large player as the Waco Tribune reports that their 7-foot junior college transfer Jo Acuil is out for 8 weeks.
Originally from Sudan, averaged 20.1 points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game as a sophomore at Neosho Community College.
During his time out Acuil will undergo testing for possible heart issues. ‘Jo’s health is of first and foremost importance,’ Baylor head coach Scott Drew said. ‘He had really improved this summer and fall, not only on the court but also in the weight room. He had progressed nicely.’
Baylor opens their season Nov. 13 against Stephen F. Austin State.
