Sooners’ flight to Kansas State delayed eight hours

After losing to their bitter rival in Texas, the Oklahoma Sooners’ struggles just keep piling on, but not on the field, no, not even on the ground.

According to tweets from Oklahoma TV Broadcaster Dean Blevins, the Sooners’ flight to Manhattan, Kansas was delayed for eight hours due to three planes having mechanical issues.

The team was finally able to lift off at midnight according to reports from CBSSports.com.

With opening kickoff set for 3:15 ET, you have to wonder how ready the Sooners will be after such a long night. While Kansas State is coming off a battle where they gave TCU a fight to the very end, it could be a sloppy game if both teams are physically and emotionally drained.

The path to victory is never easy for any team, but for the Sooners, the path has been full of unfortunate surprises.
