Five-star forward and Class of 2016 No. 1 recruit Harry Giles will not visit the University of North Carolina, but will pay a visit to Duke on October 30. SNY’s Adam Zagoria reported the update on Twitter.
Giles, who currently plays at North Carolina’s Oak Hill Academy, visited Wake Forest last month and Kansas earlier this month. This past weekend, he was in Lexington for Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness event. Given how UNC is set to be the lone school among his final five that he will not visit, it seems to be a pretty safe bet that the Tar Heels are out of the mix.
Then again, since Giles is from North Carolina to begin with, perhaps he feels a visit to Chapel Hill isn’t necessary.
Either way, it’s looking like the 6-foot-10 prospect’s decision-making process is nearing its close, so all eyes are on him and where he’ll end up playing college ball. Wherever he ends up playing, he’ll definitely be an immediate impact player.
