According to University of Miami announcer Juan Arango, the MLS ownership headed by David Beckham has bought property in Miami for a new stadium and should have it all finalized later this week. For the past few years Beckham has been working on bringing an MLS team to Miami, with plans in the works for a new stadium as well.

There has also been speculation that a partnership with the University of Miami is in place, with the Hurricanes planning on using the stadium to host their home football games in Beckham’s stadium.
Arango also said that negotiations between Beckham and the city of Miami are going ‘well’ and that more announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
