Michigan State Spartans redshirt freshman defensive back Jalen Watts-Jackson may have dislocated and fractured his hip as he scored the game-winning touchdown against Michigan on Saturday, but to think that he would have any regrets about it would be highly wrong.
In a post on his Instagram, Watts-Jackson said that he would do it all over again even if it did mean getting injured.
The text is as follows:
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ” very bitter sweet end to my season. This morning I had surgery on my hip putting me out for the season. But if I got the chance I would do it all over again for my brothers. God has a plan for everyone and I will not question any obstacles I encounter on my journey . #spartanswill
If that doesn’t make you stand up and do a slow clap, then you need to read it over and over again until you’re pumped up beyond belief. Watts-Jackson is probably one of the most inspirational stories of the season thus far and once he’s cleared to play again, the fans will roar the moment he steps back on the field.
Campus Sports will update Watts-Jackson’s recovery as it progresses.
