FSU’s Tyler Hunter out with concussion

Florida State defensive back Tyler Hunter has been ruled out for Saturday’s matchup with Georgia Tech. Hunter is still dealing with the effects of a concussion.

The Palm Beach Post reported that head coach Jimbo Fisher said, “true freshmen Tarvarus McFadden and Marcus Lewis are both expected to play the ‘star’ nickel corner role.” Hunter usually played in the star nickel role.

McFadden has played in just one game so far this season, while Lewis has featured mostly on special teams.

A senior, Hunter has started only one game this year but is fourth among defensive backs in tackles with 20. Proficient against the run, he will be missed as Georgia Tech features a run heavy offense.
