Robert Nkemdiche cleared to play against Texas A&M

Ole Miss star defensive end Robert Nkemdiche was diagnosed with a concussion in the first half of their loss to Memphis last Saturday. Nkemdiche’s presence could have helped the Rebels win the game last week, but it seems like he has made progress this week in his recovery.

According to SEC Country, Nkemdiche has been cleared to play Saturday when the Rebels play the Texas A&M Aggies in a big SEC West matchup. Head coach Hugh Freeze that Nkemdiche and safety Trae Elston both passed concussion protocol on Wednesday and will be playing this weekend.

Nkemdiche has been regarded as one of the top prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft next April. If he decides to declare, he will be a top five pick without a doubt.

This year, Nkemdiche has 17 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. The game on Saturday will be played in Oxford at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
