Landry Jones to start, Roethlisberger could suit up

ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that Landry Jones will make his first NFL start for the Pittsburgh Steelers today, though Ben Roethlisberger could suit up on the sidelines. Big Ben has been listed as questionable all week and has been out for the last three games with a knee injury.

Once no.3 on the Steelers QB depth chart, Jones threw for two touchdowns last week when backup Mike Vick had to come out of the game with a hamstring tear.

Werder reports that Pittsburgh is still contemplating whether to have Roethlisberger serve as the No. 2 quarterback for Sunday or if Tyler Murphy, who was elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, will occupy that role.
