The Minnesota Vikings have found a special player in rookie linebacker Eric Kendricks. The second-rounder out of UCLA has done a spectacular job for the team this season, part of the reason the Vikings are 4-2 and competing for a playoff spot right now.
Kendricks had a great October and he was honored for his performance. According to Pro Football Talk, Kendricks was named the NFL defensive rookie of the month for October.
Last week, Kendricks had two sacks and has four sacks on the season, second behind Everson Griffen with 4.5. Kendricks should be considered one of the better rookies in the NFL right now and if he continues to play the way he is, there is no doubt in my mind that he will help lead the Vikings to a great season and possibly into the playoffs.
The Vikings look to snap a seven-game losing streak at Soldier Field when they take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m.
