Michigan fans marry after meeting on Big Ten blog

Have you ever thought of meeting the person you would marry in the comments section of an ESPN.com’s Big Ten Blog? Yeah, me either—but that is exactly what happened for Brandon and Kate, both avid Michigan fans and regulars in the site’s comments section.

The couple spent over 6 months communicating in the comments section of the blog, until his curiosity about this girl, or as he knew her “bleu_girl_04” began to takeover.

At this point in time in 2012, one of the biggest sports stories of the year broke that changed a lot about how their relationship would go. Unfortunately, for Manti Te’o it is a story that no one can forget, when he was plastered all over sports networks for being catfished by his “dead” fake girlfriend Lennay Kekua.

Brandon knew he had to put his “getting Te’o’d” worries to rest and the couple ended up exchanging Twitter handles, started Google chatting, and eventually exchanging their cellphone numbers.

One thing led to another and Brandon decided to take a flight to Wilmington, NC to meet his mystery girl, Kate.

You could say the rest was history.

Kate and her man, “AAWolv” got married Saturday, which was naturally Michigan’s bye week, in her hometown of Middleton, WI. According to the report, the wedding program included that they met on ESPN’s blog site. And if that isn’t hard enough to believe, Brandon’s best man was Tom Brady, but not the one that is married to Gisele.

It is safe to say that you really never know where you will find love, so if you’re on the market, don’t count your sports conference’s blog comment section out.
