Pitt paints midfield logo pink at Heinz Field

Tonight, the Pittsburgh Panthers take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in what is arguably one of the biggest games of this college football weekend. The Panthers decided to honor the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in its final weekend and they did it in one of the coolest ways possible.

According to College Spun, the Panthers, who share a field with the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers, painted their script “Pitt” logo at midfield of Heinz Field pink. It was pretty cool and their official Instagram had the cool picture.

That is a very cool thing for this team to do. Teams love to do wear pink gear to honor their cause, but the Panthers took it a step further.

You can see their pink field live as they kick off against the Tar Heels at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
