Heading into Week 9 of the 2015 college football season, who are the top five Heisman Trophy award candidates and how do they rank?

Ranking the top 5 Heisman candidates in Week 9

The 2015 college football season has been incredibly entertaining and there are many individual players that have stepped up and separated themselves from the rest of the players at their respective positions.

Each and every week we have broken down the Heisman Trophy award watch with the top five ranked players currently in the race.

There has been a lot of movement throughout the season and there haven’t been many players that have been in the same spot each and every week. Things are beginning to slow down with the same group of players usually being at the top of the list.

Nick Chubb of the Georgia Bulldogs was in the watch all season until a few weeks ago when he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Our prayers are with him and we ask that you join us in sending prayers and positive thoughts his way as he goes through a rough recovery period.

That being said, heading into Week 9 of the season there are five players in particular that belong at the top of this list.

Let’s dive in and take a look at what the Heisman Trophy award watch looks like at this point in time.
