San Jose State loses leading receiver

San Jose State wide receiver Tyler Winston is out for the foreseeable future after sustaining a knee injury last Saturday. Winston came out in the third quarter of SJSU’s win over Nevada and didn’t return. According to NBC Sports, the official diagnosis is a sprain and it will keep Winston out indefinitely.

“It’s very tender right now,” head coach Ron Caragher said of Winston’s injury. “That will be a challenge to us. He brings a lot to the table.”

Winston was leading the team in receptions and receiving yards with 35 and 368 respectively. He also had two touchdowns.
