Baylor head coach Art Briles tweeted out that QB Seth Russell will have surgery today.

Baylor isn’t want for talent behind Russell, inserting blue-chip freshman Jarrett Stidham. Stidham’s first start will be nest Thursday against Kansas State.
Russell threw for 2,104 yards this season, his first as a full-time starter. Baylor has raced to a 7-0 mark and No. 2 overall ranking, the highest in school history.
