Two weeks ago, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered a knee injury in a loss to the Miami Dolphins. He missed last week’s 10-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons because of it and he will now miss his second game of the NFL season.
The Titans take on the Houston Texans in an AFC South matchup they need to win if they want to stay in contention for the division championship. According to Titan Sports’s Jim Wyatt, Mariota will not play in that game on Sunday.
Backup quarterback Zach Mettenberger will get his second start of the year and will play in his third game of the season. During last week’s game, Mettenberger had a decent showing, throwing for 187 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw two interceptions in the contest.
