The North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Pittsburgh Panthers Thursday night to move to 7-1 and, more importantly, 4-0 in the ACC. The team is now first in the ACC Coastal division and have another big game with the Duke Blue Devils next week.
The Blue Devils are also 6-1 and could be tied with the Tar Heels if they beat the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday. It’s safe to say that next week’s game is pretty important, so one Tar Heel basketball player is trying to get national attention for it.
Marcus Paige is leading the campaign to bring College GameDay to Chapel Hill next weekend. He tweeted out a message to the show telling them to “give the people what they want.”
While it’s nice to think about this being a possibility, I doubt it will happen. Clemson hosts Florida State in a big ACC matchup, Alabama hosts LSU, and Oklahoma State hosts TCU.
The show has already been to Tuscaloosa and Clemson, so it’s likely they will end up in Stillwater for a potential top ten game. However, if enough people get on the campaign, the show could surprise fans by taking their bus up to Chapel Hill.
